BRING SEXY BACK!

Sunless Tanning FAQs

Your sunless tan is achieved using an aloe based solution containing an ingredient called DHA (dihydroxy acetone).

DHA is widely used in cosmetic products worldwide. DHA reacts with the skins proteins to develop a sunless ‘tan’, which takes 2-6 hours to develop.

As you are in a private room you can wear whatever you want or don’t want during your sunless session.

Results will last anywhere from 5-10 days, depending on how well you prepared your skin for the application and how well you maintain your sunless tan once you have left the salon.

It is best to shower a few hours prior to your session and exfoliate well with an exfoliating scrub, available for purchase at La Bella Sole Tanning Lounge. Be sure to not use any moisturizers immediately before your session, as it can create a barrier between your skin and the sunless solution.

The best way to extend the life of your sunless tan is to keep your skin well hydrated and avoid hot tubs, swimming pools and long baths. Using a moisturizer with a hint of sunless tanner or bronzer (available at La Bella Sole Tanning Lounge) will keep your results fresher longer. Using a gel or cream body wash is recommended, as bar soaps are very drying to the skin. Having showers instead of baths will also help to prolong your results. Do not exfoliate for at least 7 days or until you are ready for your sunless tan to come off.

You need to bring dark, loose fitting clothing to wear after your session…the solution contains an instant bronzer which may rub off onto your clothing until your initial shower 6-8 hours after your session, while this bronzer is water soluble we recommend dark clothing to avoid any staining.

You must wait to bathe or shower for at least 6-8 hours and should shower prior to working out, as the instant bronzer will ‘sweat’ off as you workout.

You should wait a day in between sunless sessions to allow the self tanner to fully develop before deciding if you wish to be darker.
